Hi everyone!
One of the newsletters I subscribe to had an article on jewelry displays, and one of the subscribers touched on a subject that probably all of us experience.... the LONG set-up time. It was taking me three long hours to display all of the jewelry and horses I had, and at least two hours to take it all back down, package it all back up and load it all up again into my vehicle. I am pretty good at ideas and designing and building things, so I came up with a few ideas. --But first, to spare you the suspense, I will start off with how I display the jewelry & horses now. It can take anywhere from an hour to two hours to set up, and an hour or so to take it all back down. -What I use now is an A-Frame that is sold as a DVD display. It was on sale for $99. which is Really good. I used white leatherette jewelry display pads and Velcro to display the necklaces. The pads were on sale for 60 cents each, also an excellent price. The metal Spinner Rack was also on sale for about $17. I use it to display the horses, puppets, and the spiral necklaces.
As the photos go down, you can see the earlier displays and ways I displayed items. PVC pipes, cork bulletin boards, and umpty-nine easel displays and table top spinners, etc. --I have noticed that people like being able to easily and quickly take an item to see it, feel it and try it on. The display pads cause some to pause or pass.... so I am going to make a new display to test this idea out more.
