Tell Me What You Dream Of
Tell me what you see in your mind's eye; what you picture.
What color, or color combinations would you like to see? What shapes do you like? Do you have a preference of materials? Natural stones, wood, acrylic, or? Is this for a specific outfit, event, occasion? Together we can make a piece of jewelry made special for you and your needs. You can give me general ideas and examples and I'll make samples or drawings of what I think you'd like. Then you can either choose from those samples, or we can fine tune it some more and I'll make new samples to choose from. Or, you can email me a photo of a drawing of how you'd like it to look, or something that looks similar. (One piece I made for a lady was to replace a very old, worn-out necklace. I couldn't make it an exact match for ethical and material reasons, but she loved it even more!) I can also make a collection of pieces or sets for your wedding party, or for certain people. Reunions are another really great opportunity to have matching sets as a memento for all of you to remember each other by, and also unify all of you together. It can be your very own, unique Family Set. --Same with clubs, organizations, or your workplace, or your BFFs! You can also opt to select items for a gift basket.... choose the basket (or your own), the items you'd like (jewelry, horse, toys, candy, etc.), the basket bag / packaging, and I'll send you the items. You can build the basket the way you like it and add your own goodies as you make it! |
Costs: Material & Labor
Costs will depend upon what the necklace is made of, the length(s), and how long it will take to make the item(s)
For years I went with the honor system... They loved the end result, the fit, etc., but something came up and they can't afford it right now.... That put me on the hook for all of the materials & shipping costs I paid to get the materials, all of the hours of labor I lost, etc. -- Therefore, those days are over. Once the materials and size(s) are decided upon, I look to see what I have in the studio, what I'll have to order, and how much the items and shipping will be. Then I figure out how long it will take me to make the item(s). Once I have all of those figures, I contact you (usually by email), giving you an itemized account of what the costs will be. Then we can discuss payment(s). |
Payment Options
My first preference is one-half of the cost before I start physically making the item(s). One reason for this is because I will probably be opening packages that once opened cannot be returned, as well as the prospect of another custom piece going unclaimed.
If one-half of the cost is not possible right up front, we can do a Lay-Away payment system. When your payments total one-half of the amount, I will start on it. I have actual Lay Away Tags, where we each get a half of the tag. I'll mail you your half so we can both have a record of payments. Your payments will are also recorded by the financial company Stripe, or Pay Pal if you use that. I will check there too to see if you made a payment and how much it was, then I'll email you letting you know that amount was received. When you have your order paid off, it is happily bundled up with care and sent off on its merry way! All orders that I send will have a USPS Tracking Number so we can both keep tabs on the package, and I'll know if it made it to your address! Any questions, please feel free to ask! |
