J Liz Blog a log...

News and muse, ponderings and wanderings, humor and life, all from my log in the wilderness of this world.

Thoughts on a hot summer day...

I'm getting closer to having all of the necklaces up in e-commerce, and if my computer connection will cooperate with me a bit better, I should be uploading/entering the Earring Gallery items into e-commerce tomorrow...unless something urgent comes along. Almost all of the puppets are in e-commerce, and all of the horses I have done are in e-commerce.  I have to take photos for some of the J Liz Jewelry & More Seasonal Goodies and packaging options for the J Liz Jewelry & More Packaging. Hopefully soon I will be all caught up!

The Puppets are just a temporary item. I just got a kick out of how they looked and thought I'd share them here. Time will tell, but I think once they're gone, they're gone. Then maybe that page will become something else...miscellaneous deals or?

I have decided that I am no longer going to put magnetic clasps on necklaces because of the risk it poses to persons with pacemakers. I will have them available so they can be put on for those that want them. A while back I started putting all clasps on jump rings because customers sometimes take a real liking to a certain clasp. That way I can change the clasps quickly. Actually, many times I use small split rings because jump rings can open.

It has been pretty hot here. Almost 100. My poor critters are no doubt miserable with all of that hair. Before the season changes I need to get things painted outside and hope to get my painting done inside. --They started mentioning "Back to School" sales and school starting in a few weeks. Hard to believe how fast time flies. Those back to school reminders are something most kids don't even want mentioned yet--they just want to enjoy their summer and not have that hanging over their head.

I am definitely looking forward to having everything up and ready here on the website. I am also looking forward to having some fun here too with sales, maybe some drawings, etc. and getting the word out about the new website and products. I miss making jewelry. And Horses. A good number of the Horses sold quickly, so I need to replenish the supply of the color combinations that have sold. My creative side is feeling homesick. Hopefully too I will have Beaded Ornaments this year for you too!

I like to have fun, like a good laugh, love to design and create things. I love the wilderness, it's flora and fauna, I love looking at rocks and looking at things under a microscope. I'm always curious, always thinking, and I love all of my critter companions. They give me true, undying love, companionship,  loyal protection and laughs. Without them I think a big part of my heart and my life would be empty. I get a lot of my inspiration from the love of them all.
